Whaddaya do when you’re not filthy rich in Hollywood?
Most people aren’t, but if you live in that town long enough you start to believe you’re the only one who hasn’t “made it.” If you have a master’s degree in social work, or even an MBA from Harvard (as today’s guest Sari Knight, and her husband, Eric Knight do, respectively), you may struggle even more. You will likely face a moment of truth. Do you stay in La La Land and keep slugging it out…or do you opt for a LIFE?
On this episode of YES, BRAND, we convened in my adopted hometown of Iowa City to find out how Sari and Eric left the sunny skies of LA behind for the green, green cannabis of Colorado. Sari’s business is actually casting and coaching (Something Borrowed, CW’s Beauty & The Beast), and while you can take the “showbizzer” out of the town, you can’t take the town of the “bizzer.” Since relocating to Evergreen, CO, four years ago, Sari has rediscovered her roots and developed programs for local artists via an association with Marbles Lincoln Talent. Our conversation covers showbiz, the stage parent/show kid dynamic, and meanders into the marketing of edibles (Eric is COO of Sweet Grass Kitchen in Denver). And with 9 kids between us, who couldn’t use a cookie??
Please welcome Sari Knight to this episode of YES, BRAND!
