Josh Krakauer is celebrating 6 years as CEO of Sculpt, a thriving social media agency in the heart of downtown Iowa City (Go Hawks!). That’s a pretty good run, especially considering he was right out of college when he launched the company.
We explore the the current advertising landscape, the barrier of entry for players in social, and the role of authenticity in the brand-consumer relationship – citing Wendy’s, Pepsi, Heineken, and United as examples of how that dynamic is playing out on a grand scale.
We also talk about how – and why – Josh launched an agency is the midst of a recession, and the role crisis management plays in day-to-day interactions with his clients.
